Takara Tomy Unite Warriors Superion UW-01 review 2 of 2

Surprise Megatron, meet Superion! I have to say that forming Superion was easy. He wasn't that difficult to transform at all. The funny thing is that Silverbolt's head goes in the crotch area or you can say Superion's head comes from the crotch area of Silverbolt. Until I get Menasor or other combiners, you see Superion in his fullest glory.

Takara Tomy Unite Warriors Superion UW-01 review 1 of 2!

So with all the combiner wars hype, I was intrigued in getting a few of these figures--namely the real combiners such as Menasor, Superion, and Defensor etc. When I heard Takara was releasing their version combiners named "Unite Warriors", I figured why not? The bad news was that it was almost a half a year wait when it was announced back in January. The bonus: Slingshot was to appear as a completed G1 team replacing IDW Alpha Bravo. I said sweet! Then around April, Hasbro released their own version of Slingshot re-named Quickslinger to the western fans. So what was the point of waiting or getting the Takara exclusive at the time? By then I had already pre-ordered Superion which was announced as a gift set. So I told myself why not wait  again since it is more G1 colored and style..... and because I couldn't get refunds on Amiami.com.

July 7 came and the USPS mailman dropped this off!

However, due to work, I was un-able to open the first official Autobot combiner in G1 cartoon history until July 12. The results: Sloppy...... what???? My camera work that is.. hee hee. Got you there. My camera work was blurry in some pics but I was so lazy to fix it. My apologies folks, but due to time constraints and heavy workload, I can only do so much for now.  If time allots it, I will try to fix some of these pics in the future.

Energon BBQ!

So this is what I like: It all comes in one instead of buying them separate though Hasbro may have a gift set of their own in the future. It comes with a nice trading pic of the Aerialbots having Energon BBQ on Metroplex. Weird I know. Here's the Aerialbots for your viewing pleasure!

A step into the past: Street Fighter IV Collector's Edition (2010)! Not a Review!

I was browsing through my old Flickr account which I haven't used in years and came across this. Wow, I kinda forgot I had all this which is in storage right now. Though I don't have time to play games much these days, I remember having a blast with Street Fighter IV and Super Street Fighter IV. Let the pics do the talking. The headband is a gamestop pre-order bonus. Yes, and let me rant on Gamestop on that day. Gamestop didn't get the shipment on the day of release and they rudely told all their customers that because we live in Hawaii, shipping was delayed. The guy didn't want to help any one at all by the look of his expression. Load of monkey manure because I used to work retail and I tell you games, especially popular games, we would receive them nearly a week or a month in advance. Gamestop always manages to piss customers off. To make it worse, lying when you could had just said "sorry, we didn't get the shipment in yet." What's hard about telling the truth? Anyways, for your viewing pleasure. Click on link for a few more pics.

Transformers Legends Arcee LG10 Takara Tomy Review!

"No, you'd better stay close to me"
                             - Arcee after saving Hot Rod and Daniel in "Transformers the Movie" (1986)

At long last, an official Arcee from Hastak have been released. Was she worth the wait? Is she worth the money? Find out in this review.

Don't let the pics fool you, Arcee's box is pretty small. When I receive this through the mail, I thought the seller on Ebay duped me by mailing me only the figure for the box was very small and light. As I opened it, alas, no disappointment. The box is only half the size of a Hasbro Generations packaging. The figure also comes with a fold up manual that displays her statistics, portrait, transformation instructions, and a two page manga. I uploaded the Manga here for any Japanese readers. If anyone could translate it for me, that be awesome. As for now lets get to....

Transformers Generations Legends Tailgate and Groundbreaker!

Well, this is part 3 of 3 for the minibots. Last but not least, Tailgate and Groundbreaker! I ordered this guy on Amazon, and when you least expect it, they gave me the damaged (creased) casing. At least the toy wasn't damaged. Lucky I guess.

Transformers Generations Legends Swerve and Flanker!

Next up: Swerve and Flanker! Once again no idea who is the latter. And to save time, he is pretty much a triple changer like Payload: Robot mode, Alt mode, and gun. Had to get Swerve because he did appear in two episodes briefly in season 3 of G1. Yes, two episodes only! Yeesh! Trust me, it only gets worse from here. What I'd mean? Find out when I review Tailgate next time! Without further delay, here is Swerve out of the box... with Flanker of course.

Transformers Generations Legends Cosmos with Payload!

Finally got around to shooting more figures.I had been busy with work this whole time. I decided next on my hit/shoot list was the minibots Cosmos, Swerve, and Tailgate. I picked up Cosmos and Swerve a while back and was on the fence with Tailgate till I decided to pick the latter up because he was G1 after all. Cosmos is the focus for this article and I will do Swerve and Tailgate shortly. Forgive me but a lot of dust accumulated on the set during this shoot. Without further delay, Let's get started!

Packaging on all 3:

Tailgate, Swerve, and Cosmos

Tailgate's package came damaged so I think twice to buy TF figures from Amazon again.

Transformers United Drift UN-08 Review! (2011)

At long last, I finally decided to open up Transformers United Autobot Drift! Drift also marks the 1st actual TF figure I bought that is not of G1 cartoon continuity. He exists solely as a G1 IDW character. However, that wasn't what got me to buy this figure whose mold eventually led to the creation of Generations Blurr whom I retrospectively reviewed a few weeks back. I got Drift, because long story cut short, was a former Decepticon (named Deadlock) who one day went by a samurai code and abandon the ranks of the Decepticon only to find himself joining the Autobots short after. I thought this was amazing for a Decepticon to turn a new leaf and do good. Enough of that and let's get started.

(1st row above: Generations Wheeljack and United Tracks. I shot them a 2nd time because I didn't lift their wings in robot mode properly at that time.)

So this is the finale of the pics I took in the past. I have no time to make retrospective posts about them anymore so I'll post the pics as a pictorial review. I will do my best to review figures that I haven't opened yet.

Transformers Retrospective finale part II! Transformers Generatons, Henkei, Universe, Reveal the Shield, United, and Third party TF.

Part II. Once again, I'm only focusing on blogging the figures that I haven't opened yet. I took these photos long ago and there is just too much for me to go back into writing. I still have a part III which is the final coming up.

(First row: First pic: Thundercracker(blue), Skywarp (black), Starscream (red and white), Acid Storm (Green))

Transformers Retrospective look: Generations Blurr (2010)

I was on the fence whether to get Blurr or not since he didn't look like his G1 counterpart: both robot and vehicle mold. At this point, I was even contemplating quitting collecting. Then I found out that this mold was based off a G1 comic book based character named Drift. Not to mention, this version of Blurr was, in fact, G1-inspired taken directly off of the popular IDW comics. Without much hesitation, I decided to pick him up. Snagged him at Target at the time for $12.
