Transformers Toys Studio Series Core Class The The Movie Autobot Wheelie Action Figure review

Aloha folks, I am back with another TF review and this time it is 86 Core class Wheelie. How does he fare? Let's get started!

Boxing

As you could see there is a crease on the left side of the box. I bought Wheelie and Wild-Rider (next review) from Hasbro Pulse. Usually, they ship it fairly well and the box comes all pristine. This time I received the box that housed both figures to be caved in on one side. As a result, I got two boxes that don't look smooth at all. And I paid for the shipping when I should, next time, just wait for the free delivery from Amazon.com.

Wheelie comes in with a Quintessa backdrop. It's the scene where he witnesses both Hot Rod and Kup being captured by the Allicons.

Standing tall

When I first saw this figure in the box, I thought he looked simple like how 86 Spike turned out. I didn't have much high hopes that this be an amazing figure. He still didn't wow me when I took him out of the box. The weird thing is that he has this skirt-like part for his Heine. It forms an integral part of his alt mode but it is also used in a bizarre fashion which I will explain later. As for the figure, Wheelie is very simple. Doesn't have a waist swivel though he has a swivel for his head. And he comes with his slingshot though no projectiles included. He can pose fairly decent however.

Comparisons with Legends Wheelie and 86 Companion Wheelie.

I didn't do much of a shoot with these guys but I realized that 86 core class Wheelie looks top notch here. I did like Legends Wheelie for a time but now I do think CC Wheelie is the definitive one based on looks. Legends version I feel got a decent size but he's just got a little too much details and the orange is too light for my tastes.

Alt mode

CC Wheelie is fairly easy to transform into his alt mode without instructions. He looks really small and simple in comparison to the LG version. Both windows can flip open but CC Wheelies head just appears looking at ya. You can flip his head face down if this bugs you though.

Cybertronian Toilet bowl

This was the bizarre thing I was referring to earlier. That skirt can literally form a toilet bowl. Even Red Alert is fed up with the "crap" he dealt with his whole life. Kingdom RA is starting to grow on me btw.

I do not own credit for coming up with this. I merely borrowed the idea from a FB user a while back. I don't use FB much now so credit to whoever came up with this. Thanks for the laugh.

Conclusion

I think Wheelie is a step up from Spike. He may feel simple at times but he's got the looks and he plays just fine. Not too much bells and whistles for a 12 dollar figure but he is here to complete your 86 collection. Later folks and take care.

Transformers Generations War for Cybertron: Kingdom Deluxe WFC-K38 Red Alert Review comparisons with Siege Red Alert.

Hi folks, I'm finally back with a new TF review. I got some other TF figures along the way but without further delay, let's get started.

Due to this being a Wal-Green exclusive, no trading card is available.

Out of the box ( with Siege Red Alert)

So like Kingdom Sideswipe, this is your Kingdom-not-so- different version of Siege Red Alert. I saw that this guy was in stock and it seemed like no one was buying him, so I figured why not? Let's compare the two. Like the Sideswipes, if you already own Siege RA, the wow factor here is greatly diminished. Not so much going on except for a new chest piece, a more accurate one to the show. And he has Sideswipe's missile launcher. I mean they just couldn't color it toon colors? The colors here are more bright and not almost yellowed like the Siege version. However, this version isn't quite show accurate. According to TFwiki, Kingdom Alert mixes the show, toy colors, and an iteration of an IDW 2005 version. Your result? A serious mix bag. I just personally feel there is too much red and the grey feels really dull as opposed to the black the Siege version got. His hind legs are colored though I doubt people will be posing him from behind. The lightbars are more lighter in the Kingdom version as well.

Oh, and of course, no battle damage.

Alt mode

So if you know how to transform Siege Alert, then it's the same here. Like robot mode, they both can swap weapons to your liking. As for this mode, the Kingdom version sports a more lambo looking presentation. Colors are more bright and you got his hind legs, which forms his back windows painted. However, as good as they may sound, the Kingdom version looks more bland. The worst part is that he is missing his fire chief decals on the side panels that he had in his toon or g1 look. Let's not already forget the missing spoiler. Typical Hasbro.

Conclusion

Only worth it if you like to collect the lambos in various forms, you are a big Red Alert fan, or if you didn't get the Siege version. Like Kingdom Sideswipe, there wasn't much new here besides some aesthetic differences. Still available in Wal-Greens online as of this date. Enjoy.

Transformers Generations War for Cybertron: Kingdom Voyager WFC-K19 Inferno Review!

You are responsible for your own health. So no, we are not in this together.

You know the fire drill folks, let's get this started!

What's in the box?

Wow, this is the first for me! It came in an Ebay box.

The contents

I got Optimus Prime for the card! For an odd reason, I didn't notice this at first but the clear packaging (the transparent display) has water spots if you zoom into it. Anyhow, Inferno was coming out so no big deal but man it was so great to have Optimus for the trading card once again!

Inferno

Inferno to the rescue! Inevitably, he was going to become the retool and remold use of Grapple. Inferno, is without a doubt, a thing of beauty and loads of fun to play with in comparison to Grapple. You can fold either of his hands inward so that way you can you use the nozzle. Which side you want it is up to you. I love his silver painted face, it looks fantastic on him. Definitely love the head wings and head cannon which the latter is detachable. While shooting this segment, I had issues extending his ladder. It was seriously jammed in at the time. I thought I had another defective TF again. Inferno also comes with fire hoses that can be pegged wherever there is a 5mm port. It's a novelty and it looks great wherever you place them.... for the most part. He also receives the same blaster as Grapple.

Alt mode

Dog gone it, the darn ladder just finally decided to extend. It was tough still, but after some pulling, it slided out finally. You can pretty much place the weapons anywhere you want but I think the official configuration usually have the fire hoses on the side of the truck. His head cannon is pegged on towards the end of the ladder. On the left side though only (right side if you going by Inferno's point of view). If you are familiar with Grapple, then this transformation is identical. What makes this alt mode even better besides being a cool looking fire truck is that Hastak fixed the peg issue where the head placement (on the back wheel area) no longer gets jammed if the pegs are placed in the sockets deeply. This was a huge issue on Grapple. Yippie!

With Grapple

Transformers Kingdom Inferno

My favorite shot: Grapple and Inferno running to save lives

So I didn't peg the head area all the way in for Grapple. Anyhow, here are your comparisons. They can pretty much use each other's weapons, well, except for the head cannon which is exclusive to Inferno. I forgot to mention this on the alt mode section, but as you can see, you can level the ladders and cannons into whatever degree you want it to be. They move to the sides as well. Have fun, really.

With Red Alert

His buddy Red Alert and scale. I did the iconic IDW cover pose again. Too lazy to do the photoshop edit comparison so here is the reference from a site.

Conclusion

Inferno is simply amazing. The mold really works better for him. The fireman gimmick always is a nice touch. The alt mode fix is greatly appreciated. The paint job is really nice. He looks great overall. Get him now I say.
