Transformers Comparisons: Earthrise Thrust, Prowl and Bluestreak vs Universe Prowl, Henkei Streak, and Generations Thrust.

Today we look at some Earthrise figures and how they evolved, or perhaps, de-evolve against their classics counterparts. Let's get started.

Earthrise Thrust vs Generations Thrust

Probably the best comparison would had been Henkei Thrust vs ER Thrust due to their similar burgandy color scheme. However, I didn't mind the maroon color scheme on the generations version for the longest time. Their weapons are exchangeable for the most part. Even the turbines which can be removed on the generations model can be used on the ER version. Too bad we couldn't remove it in the ER version. I think overall, the ER version is the Thrust you want these days. He looks more better and plays better overall.

ER Prowl and Bluestreak vs Classics Prowl and Bluestreak

I'm kinda torn in this one. I think the ER versions have the edge when it comes to robot mode. The aesthetics are marvelous. However, in alt mode, the classics are a thing of beauty despite them unable to use weapons on their surface. ER Prowl is really lacking detail in comparison to his classics counterpart. The sad thing is that I started to notice my classics Prowl yellowing. It's that time I guess. The paint Takara did on Henkei Streak still stands out today imo. I actually forgot how great the chrome looked on the car. The paint-aps as I mentioned was very appealing for Streak. I think it's a tie in this category. I liked how the classics looked like an slightly, elongated sports car. However, I probably will choose ER just to scale and be more up to date but I'm still amazed by the detail and attention that was given to their alt modes (classics).

Laters. More comparisons down the line. Still gotta do Sunstreaker, Trailbreaker, Smokescreen, and a few others. Toodles.

Toy Review: Transformers Earthrise War for Cybertron WFC-E26 Thrust Review. Target Exclusive!

I rather get hit by Prime's cab again then take a rushed and poison vaccine.

Thrust is here! The final piece to the coneheads has arrived. How does he fare overall? Let's get started!

I liked how the box labels Cybertron Villains just as how it was featured previously on the 2 pack Skywarp and Thundercracker exclusive. Thrust is from the planet Zero. However, TFWiki says its Nexus Zero. I'm cool with that. For once, the decoder is placed on top of the box. That also explains why my lighting was being reflected on the top of the box. On the side of the box, you can see Dirge and Ramjet as silhouettes in the background.

Standing tall

Thrust plays very nicely. He also looks great. When I first got him out of the box, one of his turbine wings popped off though it was easily put back in. He does have differences which I will get to in the comparisons later on. No waist swivel though his joints are pretty tight. He can also do some decent posing as well. His null rays can come off but I chose to leave it on for most of this review.

Alt mode

If you are familiar with the Earthrise Seekers, then you should have little or no problems transforming Thrust into his raptor mode. The odd thing, like how TFwiki pointed out, was that the nosecone on the top part is painted completely red. He is missing his black nose cone whereas it is presented lightly in his fellow conehead brothers. His G1 cartoon or toy colors highlight his black cone as well. Dunno why this trait was left out in the ER form. Anyhow, you can also peg his weapons where ever the 5mm port is available.

Coneheads!

I just wanted out point out that you can bend the flaps of his waist wings/turbines. Anyhow, this is your conehead seeker team elite. Unlike the original seeker trio, the coneheads sport different physical features; mainly their wings. Of all the three, I actually like Thrust the best. His colors are vibrant and I like those turbine wings. It really makes him standout of the three.

Conclusion:

He is available for a limited time in Target. Get him online. Just pay the extra shipping to beat off the scalpers. He is possibly easier to get of the trio. I also feel he stands out the best of the trio. That is it for now. I will try to compare him with Generations Thrust somewhere down the line. Thank you and let God take control. Laters.
