Transformers Toys Studio Series Core Class The The Movie Decepticon Frenzy (Red)

 Frenzy15

Aloha folks, today I am back with another review: Core Class Studio series 86 Frenzy! Yeah, the red dude. Without delay, let's get started!

Boxing

Frenzy01 Frenzy02 Frenzy03 Frenzy04 Frenzy05 Frenzy06

The box is pretty much the same as 86 Rumble. Only difference really is the color palette swap of the figure and portraits. The backdrop is the same as 86 Rumble as well.

Frenzy ( and comparisons with Rumble)

If you played with Rumble, Frenzy is no different. The piledrivers and gun handling/storage applies the same here. I do like Frenzy's coloring better than Rumbles. So if I had to choose one of them, it most likely be Frenzy. Frenzy has the same colored gun as well and you can pretty much swap piledrivers with each other. Like Rumble, I wish Frenzy had elbow joints. I felt that its really needed here.

To no one's surprise, same transformation as Rumble and fits into Soundwave's chest cavity a slight tight fit like Rumble.

Conclusion

Yeah, this review was short. Despite color differences, this guy is pretty much an identical figure to Rumble. No real contrast here. I do like Frenzy's color better however. If you liked Rumble, then you will like Frenzy. Or if you need to fulfill your Soundwave minion collection. The only bummer like his piledriver brethren is the lack of elbow joints. Anyhow, see you next time and Jesus loves you.

Toy Review: Transformers Takara Tomy LaserBeak (Condor) and Apeface LG38.

Happy New Year folks. Got out of my sick bed to review a figure. Today's focus is on one of Soundwave's minion: Laserbeak aka Condor in Japan and his partner in crime: Apeface. Without haste, let's get started!

Boxing and contents

Standard legends boxing. Comes with the comic book version from which I have no idea what's it about until I read this site:

Red wings 1
Red wings 2

Better view of his face
Laserbeak is a beauty. Though I wouldn't find him a masterpiece of his G1 incarnation. He looks great here. I had trouble getting a decent shot of his face until I was able to do so on the last pic for this category. For once I used mainly flash and the flash obscured his legs due to the black flooring I used. He also had some red wings which I didn't shoot too much of because his left wing kept receding in. His right was sturdy but the left side kept sliding back in that I kept his red wings in from most of the shooting. Also too bad he does not have his wing rifles like he did in the cartoon. Would had made this figure really ideal to obtain.

TFC-004 Gear of War Transformers Accessory Set for Mirage, Inferno, Sideswipe

Took me long enough to open and utilize these. For those new to the TF classics hobby, fans felt that figures like Inferno, Sideswipe, Red Alert, Mirage, and Soundwave was missing some trademark weapons. TFC catered to fan demand and created add ons such as Red Alert/Sideswipe's missile launchers, Inferno's ladder and arm cannon, Mirage's shoulder rocket and invisibility box, and an extra minion for Soundwave. The weapons were intended to be used for the Henkei versions due to the chrome/metallic properties, but they work fine with the Hasbro versions as well. The results.... well, see for yourself.

Box is box. Nice prologue on what's stored for the collector as he opens the toy box. On the last pic: (L to R) Mirage's invisibility box, instructions (poster in the other side), Inferno's Arm Canon/Ladder, 3 missile launchers, and Soundwave's Auto-scout plus 4 energon crystals.
