Transformers War for Cybertron Siege S28 Jetfire (Skyfire) review

Siege Autobots opened up thus far. (And Jetfire is huge)

Aloha folks. I noticed lots of people were opening up their Jetfire figure and I wondered what the commotion was all about. Without haste, lets see what the fuss was about and let's get started!

Boxing

So you can see the figure is almost the size of my 32 inch tv. Comes with an array of goodies.

Darn it. We need bigger combiners now!

Where is thy sting?

Jetfire is huge as you can see. We seriously need another combiner. Thank God he wasn't bigger than Metroplex but still he is about a third of him. His siege signature battle damage lies mainly in his thighs and lower shin. Its mostly darken that's all though early promo pics of him had those areas more yellow in color. Thank God Hasbro decided to not go with that. It really makes it look as if the toy was yellowing. Joints are tight and his limbs move well. As a goodie, Jetfire can flip his insignia to reveal a Decepticon symbol as a homage to his first appearance "Fire in the sky." Another neat feature is his usage of opening his fingers. However, they can't be opened individually and only as a whole hand. Not bad though.

Transformers War for Cybertron Siege S9 Hound review

That was fast. Here I bring to you another WFC review: Hound! Without further delay, let's get started!  I'm not a big fan of using high ISO, but I guess due to my dark surroundings, I had to use it for most of the pics.. The results were mixed as some of the pics still came out soft.

Packaging, box and artwork.

The typical WFC boxing and emblems. Let em loose from the cage.

Hound is looking like Hound. His battle damage WFC moniker is on his shins and some part of his grill area near his abdomen. His rifle is very neat looking and can combine with his mini shoulder cannon. I love how the circular attachment gives the rifle a sniper like feel. The only drawback is that it comes off very easily at times. Either way, Hound looks great and very reminiscent of his G1 look. Remember to plug weapons anywhere with the pegs.

With Cog

Like WFC Sideswipe, use your imagination. Cog works fine with Hound though Hound's back moves a lot so it takes some time to peg things in. No biggie though. Have fun.

Transformers War for Cybertron Siege S8 Cog review

Aloha folks, I'm back to give you another WFC review: Cog! Without further delay, let's get started!

Warning: Pics didn't come out great once again. If you zoom in, the focus is a little blurry in half the pics. I tried doing the shoot in a different area with different lighting this time. So remember folks, lighting is the key.

Boxing Content

This should be fun. Cog is only G1 related mainly due to the comics. As a character, he serves as a drone bot for Fortress Maximus. The reason why I got him is because, well, everyone was getting him and I couldn't pass him up for $10. As you can see from the back of the box, Cog splits into multiple weapons for another TF. In this case, it's WFC Sideswipe. He can also break into two parts for his vehicle mode.

Battle Damage

Nice figure right out of the box. He is a bot comprised of multiple parts. Unlike, previous TF figures, Cog's limbs are removable to either form weapons or drone parts. My only gripe here is that his right hand couldn't seem to peg weapons too well. It felt slippery for the most part. Continuing on the TF tradition, Cog sports battle damage on the inner side of his knees and some parts of both his forearms. Not too shabby.

Weapon former featuring WFC Sideswipe.

The results and possibilities are endless! I spent the most time for Cog in this category. This part makes Cog the ultimate weapon.  The black rifles had trouble this time pegging on his left hand. Very odd. Unfortunately, I don't have a Fort Max figure so I couldn't pair the duo together.  I don't know much about this part but for more info and name of each component, go to:

Overkill
Overkill 2

Cog can form into one elongated drone tank or split into two. Very easy to get to on this part since you already, for the most part, was using him as split weaponry. I honestly didn't care much for this part, but since he is a TF, this was an obligatory transformation mode.

Conclusion:

Cog is very fun to play around with. Lots of replayability since you can try pairing him up with other TF which hopefully I will get to for my upcoming reviews. Get him while you can. Cog works fine as either a TF or and accessory.  Ciao!
