That was fast. Here I bring to you another WFC review: Hound! Without further delay, let's get started! I'm not a big fan of using high ISO, but I guess due to my dark surroundings, I had to use it for most of the pics.. The results were mixed as some of the pics still came out soft.
Packaging, box and artwork.
The typical WFC boxing and emblems. Let em loose from the cage.
Robot mode
Hound is looking like Hound. His battle damage WFC moniker is on his shins and some part of his grill area near his abdomen. His rifle is very neat looking and can combine with his mini shoulder cannon. I love how the circular attachment gives the rifle a sniper like feel. The only drawback is that it comes off very easily at times. Either way, Hound looks great and very reminiscent of his G1 look. Remember to plug weapons anywhere with the pegs.
With Cog
Like WFC Sideswipe, use your imagination. Cog works fine with Hound though Hound's back moves a lot so it takes some time to peg things in. No biggie though. Have fun.
Versus Combiner Wars/Unite Warriors and Henkei/Classics Hound
Yep, they can also grasp each others weapons. The amount of posing and adaptability is endless. Here are just some examples. As for looks, I can tell you that Has/Tak did a good job in making this Siege Hound look like the definitive version of Hound to get. He got the looks as the Henkei version looks incomplete in comparison. Maybe it's time I retire the Henkei version. The CW/UW and Henkei version can also use Cog's weapons just fine as well.
Alt mode with UW and Henkei Hound once again.
Siege Hound looks like something of a modified hummer. I like the look still and the area of weapon placement. Henkei Hound still wins for the G1-ish looks if that is what we are going for. Lots of pegs in this mode for Siege Hound to insert weapons. UW Hound isn't so bad in this category as well. Once again Cog to the rescue for loads and overkill of weapon photography. Henkei Hound however suffers in this category due to the lack of pegs. This mode was slightly hard to get into so I did have to refer to the manual for a bit. Transformation back to robot mode was very easy though.
Bonus:
With Sideswipes missile. What more do you want?
Conclusion:
Siege Hound is the best updated looking Hound to get. This is probably the best option to get since Henkei is outdated and pricey at this point. Once again, Siege Hound is easy on the eyes and easy to play around with. He be perfect if it wasn't for his battle damage though I hear of methods in getting rid of it, but I don't want to chance it without destroying the figure. Anyhow, later folks. Take care.
