Transformers Age of The Primes The Thirteen Alpha Trion, Voyager review!

Aloha, My very first Ages of the Prime figure. What do I think? Let's get started.

Boxing

It's nice to still see the plastic casing boxes here. The boxes are fairly good quality as well. Comes with a nice bluish space like backdrop. 

Alpha Trion

So where do I begin. I am aware that there are different versions of Alpha Trion. This Alpha Trion debuted in S2 G1 Transformers. I think S3 had a younger one since the Aerial bots went back in time and met the younger version. I needed a Alpha Trion so here he is. 

Before I go on, it wasn't until halfway towards the shoot I realized he had heels. It's locked in the bottom of his feet. So half the time I was having trouble standing him up doing poses. So you can see it in some pics that he was missing his heels and I didn't feel like going back to shoot the poses all over again.

AT has ankle tilts, head and waist swivel but no fist swivel. However, he does have open articulated fingers so that really helps especially when clasping the custom 3rd party megs gun I bought on Ebay (Last pic of this review). 

Colors are almost identical of that of the toon. He doesn't have a real weapon but he does come with a feather pen and a journal book that can open up to a few pages. Neat on the latter. The book also has a peg so it reminds me of the Earthrise Sunstreaker engine block weapon. You can use the book as if it was his gun.

The book and his shield can be plugged in any 5 mm port you see. The shield opens up because it is spread out on alt mode but you can make it look like AT has wings with it. Use your imagination. 

Last, not sure why but his small spike on each tricep comes detached. You simply plug it in after removing both parts from the red wrapper. I know third party made longer spikes so that is another cool thing if you want his spikes longer and sharper looking.

Alt mode

Astoundingly, I was able to transform 99% of this mode without the use of instructions. The only help I did need from the manual was how to store his journal and feather pen. Otherwise, pretty cool design. This mode feels like a Sweep to be honest.

Conclusion:

Well, I'm not going to collect the other Primes. I only got this one because of his affiliation to G1 toons. AT is an awesome figure. It may help for him to get a real weapon but that feather pen will have to fend off Meg's cronies until you get a third party gun. Anyhow, if you are a completionist, get AT. He is fun to toy around with. Laters and Jesus loves you. Turn to him today.
