Transformers Studio Series The The Movie Devastator: Constructicons Unite!
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity. Psalm 133:1
Aloha folks, we are back with the final Constructicon 86 review: Devastator! Without delay, let's get started!
Constructicons Unite!

I ended up using the instruction manual to form this guy. I didn't want to waste too much time on figuring out what or how to do it.
So first of all things, Devastator is a beautiful and nice looking figure. I didn't own the Combiner War/Unite Warriors version so I can't make an comparison. The dump truck legs on his back does look a little weird though.
I also purchased a gap filler for his chest prior to this review so that part is covered up. You can find the chest gap filler on Ebay. Its roughly $8 and with shipping it be $12 I think.
So I guess let's get the negatives out of the way now. Devi is a pretty boy and he handles fairly decent while standing up. If you are trying to do fancy poses, yeah, this won't work too well for him. You are able to do a few but Scrapper (right leg) stumbles a lot. Its difficult to do poses because Scrapper's claw and hands fumble a lot. I found out that if you want a little sturdiness, then flip Scrappers arms vertically and not the official way. Still, Devi is a little too heavy to do lots of fancy poses but the vertical arms from Scrapper possesses a bit more stability.
Hook's crane can be detached if you don't want it in the way and you can plug it into his arm providing you take out one of the hands. Speaking of hands, it would had been nice to have individual articulated fingers. But no thumb posing and his other 4 fingers flap out all at once. Speaking of weapons, he does have enough 5mm ports in this mode to store each Constructicons weapons. I eventually took it out of this shoot later because they do pop off easy.
The cool thing is that now Devastator has a waist swivel. He does have nice and tight knee joints though his elbow swivel can be done better imo. The left arm (Bonecrusher) especially. There doesn't seem to be too much mobility on that end.
Then another negative came about, though its not Hasbro's fault in this one, I ended up losing Scavengers crotch piece as I decided to de-construct Devi and do some group shots. I pray to God it shows back up sometime... and not chewed up by my dog.
Conclusion
You came this far. You might as well construct the annihilator. Or not. 86 Constructicons had their flaws and some folks felt this was a huge downgrade from CW/UW line. Once again I can't compare. The bots individually are above average but a little less fun to play with in comparison to other 86 figures. But Devastator himself once again is nice, but too heavy for the most part to do anything fancy. He is here to complete your 86 line up. If you have all 6, hey, give yourself some time and construct this bad boy.
Jesus loves you and take care until the next review.
