Transformers Toys Studio Series Voyager Class The Movie Constructicon Scrapper and Transformers Toys Studio Series Deluxe Class The Movie Bonecrusher review

 Scrapper-BC13

Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock. Matthew 7:24

So at long last, I finally decided to open up the first two releases of the Constructicons that I had a little while back. So let's find out whether they are awesome or not. Let's get started!

Boxing

Here are your boxes. I am opening the Constructicons in order. Scrapper being #1 release and Bonecrusher #2. This is even noted on back of the boxes. As usual, you get the individual bot description: Scrappers description is who he is and BC is of what he is doing in the movie, basically joining Megatron in the battle of Autobot city. I also believe these were the first guys that had this new boxing that no longer had the 86 logo. I may be wrong but I think it was here where it debuted? Also, if they are the ones that came first in this packaging, this is where I also believe we no longer had our anime backdrops but these blue ones instead.

By the time you got to my review, you probably came across a dozen others. No surprise that BC is the one most reviewers teared apart. I can see why. To me, he looks like a couple blocks strewn together with two sticks and a small head that pops out on top of his block figure. To make matters worse, half of his black block behind his back comes detached, so you have to attach a block amid this blocky torso. Yeah, he is the building block of the team I guess. If you just bend his legs, his chest (which is his claw), flies off his body already. He can do some decent poses despite his weird look. He does have a waist and head swivel but in order to do the former, you need to remove his chest first. Really, really awkward. He comes with a small gun that can be placed on his back.

As for Scrapper, he is the prettier of the two. However, despite being a higher price tag, he is lacking a waist and hand swivel. He also lacks an area in this mode that can house his rifle besides the one found in his fists. His posing is actually a bit more limited in comparison to BC. But thanks to that big claw behind his back, you can use that to store his weapon. He also comes with two guns that form Devastator's gun.

Actually, both figures are pretty easy to transform though it did take me some time. I did eventually have to use the manual only for BC. I had trouble sticking his hands in. In this mode, Scrapper does have a few areas where to store his weapon. Its your imagination on how you want it positioned.

Conclusion

I dunno. I don't hate both guys but I think they are somewhat in the above average range. I didn't have the CW or UW versions, so I can't compare. I do hear the SS ones have better articulation and stability. I feel you are getting these guys mainly to form Devastator so your mileage may vary. I'll leave it there. Thank you for visiting and turn to Jesus. See you next time.
