Transformers Studio Series The The Movie Constructicon Scavenger & Constructicon Voyager Mixmaster review

Aloha folks I am back with the 3rd part of the Transformers movie and the remaining Constructicon team of Scavenger and Mixmaster. Without delay, let's get started. 

Boxing

This is your boxing. Some accessories come detached. They didn't really bother trying to do the character descriptions much here. They "form the part of the team" explanation is given and that is it. Mixmaster is a voyager here since he forms the other leg alongside Scrapper. 

Scavager and Mixmaster

I always thought these were the lesser famous Constructicons though Scavenger looks kinda cool. You have to attach Scavy's claw to his back. The claw can bend and swivel so that is the neat feature for Scavy. He does have head, elbow, and thigh swivel as well. He also does have knee joints amid that solid looking track-like legs. However, he is the 4th Constructicon not to have waist swivel. Bummer. Like I said, he is pretty cool looking and man he would had been awesome had they given that to him. He can peg his weapon into any part that has a 5mm port. Scavy's feet can also bend giving him foldable heels for some neat positioning. Ankle tilts are also available here as well. 

MM also comes with his mixing drum detached. You can open the end part of it and fidget with that area. Too bad it doesn't spin though. He does have the same type of swivel as Scavy so that also means he doesn't have a waist swivel and that makes him the 5th member of the team to not have it. Boo. MM also has foldable heels that enable him to do some steady posing. Not to mention, he does have ankle tilts as well. He does have a 5mm port on his forearm so you can plug his weapon in there besides his fists.

Alt mode

They were fairly easy transformations though MM gave me a slightly harder time. They do play nicely though I did wish MM's cement drum did spin once again. I'm going to get right into it, I, like most collectors had an issue with Scavy's transformation. So the 3 looking donuts (5th pic in this category), has trouble pegging because the donut hinges are bigger than the gap itself. Some folks I looked online said, you can snap it in but with brutal force or pliers. Some fans took it to themselves to shave some parts of the hinges to make it fit. For me, I don't think it's worth it to break it or do this messed up mod. As a result, Scavy has the most incomplete looking alt mode of all the 6. The fun thing is that you can swivel and fudge with his claw in certain angles. You win some, you lose some. Oh well.

Conclusion

That concludes the individual reviews for the Constructicons. Besides the hinge issue (Scavy) and the lack of waist swivel for both characters, they well-rounded the final duo of this team. In the next and final review of the Constructicons will, be no surprise, as you can guess who they become. Until then. Continue to seek Jesus daily. Take care folks.
