To elaborate on a previous comment from Swerve's entry about getting "worse" was that Swerve got two episodes, while Tailgate got only 1 in season 3. Both autobots attempted to protect the ark from the recently activated Trypticon. The results were futile as the autobot Volcano saw its demise. What did you expect from a pack of minibots to stop a living city?!? All in all, it seems that the minibots weren't that important in season 3.
Robot Mode:
Looking decent. I see that he has tribal flames in a similar fashion to Reveal the Shield Tracks. His head movement is very limited moving barely to left or right. Yeah, I'm overdoing this head thing but it would had been nice. He looks okay overall. He also has numbers in-printed on his calves. Not sure what that is supposed to mean.
Tailgate Alt mode:
Forgive me but I ain't into cars much so I'll just say that Tailgate transformers into something similar to Generations Wheeljack or RTS Tracks. The tribal flame is pretty much the eye candy here. The silver painted windows are a nice touch as well.
Groundbreaker robot and alt mode:
Groundbreaker is so simple for the most part. His Alt mode and Robot mode is pretty much unique. No real transformation involved. His robot mode is the belly of his Bulldozer mode, so if you want him in alt mode, make him plank.
Tailgate and Groundbreaker Robot and alt mode
This is where Tailgate and Groundbreaker truly shine. You can actually so do some decent action posing with them. Groundbreaker can elongate himself looking more like an melee weapon.
Cool thing is that you can exchange weapons with other autobots extending various possibilities!
So overall, its just a gimmick that I get as much Geewun as possible. Tailgate and Swerve didn't make much of an impact during the show but once you are in, you are in. Get him to fill your minibot collection or classics collection. Ciao!
