Transformers United Stepper with Nebulon Million Publishing Generations 2011 exclusive review!

Aloha, as we continue our third and final review of the Jazz mold from the RTS/United line! This time we are reviewing United Stepper, which is a mail order/online exclusive. Included with Stepper is Nebulon, who is actually the same mold as Nightstick, a target master whom was previously included with Cyclonus. Without further delay, let's get started.

Alt modes and comparisons

Stepper, whose Hasbro name is actually Ricochet, is devoid of the Jazz colors and uses a black/Golden yellowish combination. Instead of the number 4 insignia, Stepper has a flame decal on his hood and side door panels, something similar to autobot Tracks. As a surprise, Takara allowed Stepper to keep the Jazz speakers which is appropriately colored white and yellow/gold. The only flaw I felt was that they should had been allowed to put Nebulon on Jazz during vehicle mode. There was really no spot to place him as the original G1 toy did. Bummer. Stepper mainly existed in G1 comic book continuity. Because of his temper, he had trouble maintaining friendships with his fellow autobots.

Forgive me for the bizarre coloring, but nevertheless they are bustin a groove.

The figure is just as outstanding as his RTS/United counterparts. Once you get use to this mold, he is really easy to play with. He has an extra weapon whom is Nebulon, which I will get to in a moment. Stepper is given the same gun as his cousins, but it is now white rather than black. Joints are great on this figure and the paint job is just phenomenal. Posing never been a problem with the Jazz molds and it isn't a problem here.

Nebulon transformed.

Nebulon gets no love. Well, only because he is the exact same mold as Cyclonus's parter, Nightstick. I did a small comparison (no pics, sorry), Nebulon has a red face and his silver is slightly darker than Nightsticks. Nightstick's rifle nose is a combination of black and silver whlist Nebulon is plain black. Easy to transform and play with. For weapon mode, just look at Stepper's pics.

Final words:

Not sure if he is in stock anymore, but he is worth the triple dip if you love the Jazz mold. However, he is an expensive figure due to him being a exclusive and from Takara overseas. I got him for $80 because most online sellers were trying to get rid of him. He originally went for $120. If you are on a budget then I say steer clear. The only drawback like I said earlier is being unable to place Nebulon on Stepper while he is in alt mode. Mahalo folks and take care.
