Transformers Toys Studio Series Leader Class The The Movie 86-31 Galvatron Review (Comparisons with Kingdom Galvatron)

Today's Bible verse: Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all they getting get understanding - Proverbs 4:7

Aloha folks, I am back with another TF review and it is Studio Series 86-31 Galvatron. I will be showing picture comparisons with Kingdom Galvatron. I am missing one of Kingdom Galvies starship gun so he will be handicapped with only his canon and one starship gun for this review. Without delay, let's get started.

So I finally got a new backdrop which is Starscream's coronation moment. The box even mentions how Galvatron comes back reformatted from being Megatron and ruins Starscreams big moment. And not sure if anybody noticed but Galvatron and Optimus Prime shares the same "31" marking release. According to online, it was Optimus Prime's release that was a blunder. Galvatron is the official SS 31 figure released.

So you can see as of now that SS Galvie is just a repaint of Kingdom but more faithful to the 86 film. They play identical. Besides body aesthetics, perhaps the most noticeable difference is the canons. SS has a more dullish grey paint on the fusion canon handle whereas Kingdom has a more metallic tone. I'm torn between the fusion canon ( the orange part). I do like the translucency on Kingdom but I also do like how his canon looks in 86 however you lose the translucency which allows you to see the insides. Also, the Matrix is a more lighter color on SS86. Would had been nice if Hasbro painted the chain more metallic as it being more accurate to the film. Overall, I do like the paint scheme in SS a whole lot better.

This was my review for Kingdom WFC-K28 Galvatron. I'm not going to go too much in details on the SS version since almost 95% of it is nearly identical to Kingdom. I don't think I mentioned this in the Kingdom one, but they both have waist, head and even wrist swivel.

Kingdom Galvatron having fun.

On the 2nd pic for this category: SS Galvie is holding on to his Starship gun on his right hand (canon side) and Kingdom is on his left. The Kingdom version is slightly darker. Also, Kingdom Galvie pegs his weapons smoothly including SS's one. When it came to SS, I almost had to snap the weapons especially on his right fist in order to have him peg it in properly. However, my Kingdom's canon fits very loosely on his bicep regardless of which version you put. The canons though fit SS just fine. One of the things they did fix here.

"Will anyone attempt to fill his shoes"?

2nd pic here is with Kingdom's canon while the third is his SS version.

Well, They were the same guy.

For the most part, SS Galvie plays like his Kingdom counterpart. I still wish, Hasbro decided to give him open fingers instead of closed fists.

Had to bust out the manual for this guy. Like I said in previous reviews, they always make Megatron and Galvatron so hard to transform. But after one try I decided to do Kingdom's without the manual. I think I got it down now. But this is 86 Galvatron for you.

Conclusion:

Like Kingdom Blaster, there was really no real difference for the most part except for the paint scheme, a tighter fist on my copy plus better bicep snap on for his canon. The real question is are you willing to spend the extra dough just for paint differences? I prefer SS overall just like how 86 Blaster did look a whole lot better. Both are good figures. Supposedly, Kingdom is more closer to the S3 series where Galvie was painted purple every now and then. If you still need one, I'm going to say SS is the way to go but I still wished Hasbro gave us open fists (articulated fingers) on top of the repaint. Jesus loves you. Take care folks and see you next time.
