Transformers the Movie Studio Series 86 Windcharger review
Aloha Folks, I am back with another TF review, this is the first for the new year. And it is none other than Studio series 86/Studio Series Windcharger. How does he fare, well, lets get started!
Boxing
Your new boxing and standard content. No scenic backdrop anymore. I love how the back of the box states that WC uses his magnetic powers to fight off the Decepticons. Only if we got to see this old timer go out fighting in the movie. Forgive me as well, I think most of the pics turned out ok. I did buy a new Canon lens to shoot Bokeh style. I think some pics turned out a little soft but otherwise did the job. I finally got a tripod as well after all these years and still adjusting to it. It works really well with the Bokeh lens.
Windcharger
Windcharger out of the box. I really liked the Power of the Primes version years ago, but I think this version now takes the cake. He does look more blue and I think the POTP version was a little too grey. He has all types of swivel except for wrist. You can do some fairly neat posing with him and all. As far as positives go, he is pretty fun to play with. He comes with his magnetic effect plus a simple gun. You actually store the gun, besides in his hand, on the back of his heinie. No joke. His magnetic effect can either be placed on the front of his chest or on his back. I really dig how nicely colored he looks once again.
I did, however, have some negative thoughts though. It might be minor but its here nonetheless. First off, I think I share the same sentiment with some Tf fans that he has this weird looking flap feet. Its hollow when you look inward. And it really makes him have this weird and huge looking gap. This looks really awkward as you fidget with him. Also, not much of a big deal but his knee joints are very tight. It isn't bad but it isn't good either. Somewhere in the middle I guess. And this doesn't bug me a whole lot but he is almost 30 dollars now. For his class, this hobby is getting expensive. I just had to say it because, well, we just got there.

Transformers the Movie moment.

Alt mode.

Surprisingly, this mode is fairly simple to get to. I didn't need instructions but it did take me a bit to lock some of the mechanisms in place. I did had to look at the manual to see where you store the gun. It's below his rear wheels. Could had made it more exhaust like imo.
Conclusion
I don't know if Windcharger is worth 30 dollars but he is a good figure overall. Just don't, or try not to mind the weird flap heels he has. He is a nice representation of the 86 line and he is fun to toy with. I hope we do get Wheeljack at one point or maybe the devastation one is the one we need to collect. I dunno. Anyhow, see you folks. And Jesus loves you. Turn to him.
