Transformers Generations: War for Cybertron Siege Voyager WFC-S38 Springer Review.

"I've got better things to do tonight than die!" Springer, Transformers movie.

Today we go back two lines and review Siege Springer. Without haste let's get started!

Beginnings

Found this guy in my trip to Bend, Oregon back in Aug 2019. I finally decided to let him out. Yes, it was in Target as you can see.

Boxing

That is Siege for you. I never got into the insignia marking so I have no idea what it represents. And I will tell you now that instructions were used for his helicopter and car mode.

Standing tall

I'm going to start off and say that Springer, in this mode, is simply amazing. He looks G1 and feels/plays great with his array of weapons. My favorite is his swords and especially how you can you use his rotor base and form the spinning blade originally designed for the copter mode. His rifle can be split in two and form a dual blaster. He has pegs in various places, so use your imagination once again in how you can form a weapon or where to place them. And lastly, I did forget about the battle damage that came with these lines. Like Ultra Magnus this guy is battle scuffed heavily. Even his back (his roof) is plagued with battle d. That was Siege once again for you.

Alt mode 1

It took me a while to get this mode. I felt it was difficult even with the instructions. I felt as if I had to constantly pull or push something to make this mode tick. Well, I got it to work eventually. You can form one big weapon for his roof weapon. You can spilt the weapons apart and place em in different area,  but I did the stock weaponry for this mode and that was that. His yellow belly does touch the ground so be careful on how you play in this mode. Otherwise, it works out fine.

Alt mode 2

Man, this mode was just as difficult to get to even with instructions once again. I got it to work eventually due to some fan explanation online. At first I thought this mode look weird due to the chicken leg like tail boom. In time as I played with it, I learned to like it. Especially spinning the main rotors here and there, its simply fun to do so.

Final thoughts

I like Springer overall. His array of weapons are fun to play especially his robot mode is a nice homage to G1 and he handles nicely. The alt modes can be tricky and will take some time getting transformed into, but otherwise, they play decently. Springer, the guy who didn't show up in the Netflix cartoon, is a good figure. I know some people had some issues with him and prefer the generations IDW version, which is also an excellent figure btw. As I write this, Springer goes for $30 + now. For scale purposes, you may want to pick him up and if you don't care about scale, then generations will do the job nicely. Thank you for viewing this page and have a nice day.
