Maui no ka oi! Finally I was able to return to Maui after 8 years. Any changes? Albeit a few such like increase in traffic and some store changes, Maui remains mostly the same. I took a 10:00AM flight from Oahu and landed roughly around 10:30AM in OGG (Kahului Airport). Without delay, let's get started.
I checked into Maui Beach Hotel where my brother and his wife was staying the night before. Dropped our things and quickly headed out to Lahaina. First stop: Fuel for the body:
Star Noodle
Thank you Christina Leiting Hu for these foodie pics.

Filipino Style Bacon and Eggs.

The food was onolicious! I had to eat less due to me having acid reflux-like issues, but this was a very good pit stop for all of us. We shared it of course, but even the Filipino Style Bacon and Eggs took me by surprise. This is a must try out place if you are in the Lahaina area. There is even a nice looking church adjacent to this place. The drawback is that many people come here so you may have to wait.
Snorkel Bobs Lahaina
The Shark is laughing. No joke
We were driving past Lahaina Stroll which I did 8 years back but I found this place because of a fellow TF member. I had to stop by and take pics of course. Lotsa fun!
Jodo Mission Lahaina
My Sister-in-Law wanted to come here. Snatched a few pics. Peace and quiet.
Ka'anapali Beach
Lana'i.
We came here in search for the black rock which we didn't find till our return two days later. We went the wrong way basically but Ka'anapali has a nice walk way and full of Tourists swimming.

*Disclaimer* This short, and I mean very short hike, is supposed to be illegal due to the fact there is a Hawaiian Burial ground nearby and it is on a golfing course. The funny thing is that they tell you to keep out but when you enter here, they make a pathway for the people to hike down there. So I don't know what is what. Just play it safe if anything.
However, if you do want to come here. You go through office road (Ritz carlton Hotel) and you will see a chapel to your right at the end of the road. The parking is limited though we found one so thank God. Don't follow the trail that you see some people going into but instead head towards the golfing area next to the parking area. Just be careful. You will see the Hawaiian Burial ground barricaded so don't go in and just get out of any golfer's path if they are driving their caddy shacks around there. Google maps can bring you here if you don't get my drift. Molokai can be seen here.
Going home to Kahului side (Dinner at Da Kitchen and HiTea)

This became the end of our first day. We actually wanted to go to the Nakalele Blowhole but our Garmin GPS gave us bad directions so we stopped by a Times Supermarket and picked up supplies and then headed back to Kahului. We ate at Da Kitchen which was huge portions and filling. We then decided to stop by Queen Kaahumanu Shopping Center and treat ourselves to dessert with HiTea. That was that and I went to sleep short after while my brother watched Passengers at the hotel. Thank you God and see you in day 2.
