Bandai Action Base black stand: Featuring some Transformers.

Image
Aloha folks. It's been awhile since I did something with my figures. I've still got a whole lot of TF toys to open and review, but work and another part of life makes it difficult for me to do so. Tonight, insomnia got the best of me so I decided to play with a base stand I bought a while back. Today I do a brief review on the Bandai Hobby Action Base 1 display stand . With it, you can deliver the impression that your Gundam figures are flying and duking it out with other rivals while suspended in mid-air, perhaps re-creating a memorable dramatic scene you saw in the anime. But since I don't own Gundam figures, I will test out this stand with none other than my TF figures. So what you see is what you get. https://www.amazon.com/Bandai-Hobby-Action-Display-Stand/dp/B000KG499M The above link is the how the packing looks like. I did a take pic but it didn't come out well with all the glare in place. I just decided to include a link and if you are impressed then you...

For the week Beginning Sept 23rd ending October 6, 2018; Transformers the Movie Sept 27th one night only event!

Aloha folks. I saw the 1986 one night only Transformers: The Movie special. You get a free poster per person; Its the same artwork as the blu-ray release. The screen wasn't the biggest but was adequate enough. You get a couple trivia questions prior to the movie. What was also featured was an exclusive BumbleBee trailer and a Stan Bush Acoustic version of Dare and The Touch to the fans at the end of the film. I recorded some clips on my phone but due to possible copyright issues, I will not be displaying them on this site. Look for it on Youtube. It was a nice tribute to the fans. As for the movie itself, sometimes I felt the audio could use some work. It was decent but i wasn't really blown by it's intensity. The picture sometimes looked grainy for I heard they were using the 20th anniversary remastered release instead of the blu-ray release. Picture felt a little too cropped at times as well. Anyhow, it was still a nice experience. It was a big turnout which pretty muc...

Maunawili Falls 2018!

Me and my buddy Kev decided to do this hike. Have to admit, I wasn't keen on doing this hike but I was pretty impressed by the result at the end. Not to mention, it was good cardio. Here are some pics. Enjoy!   This bird was singing... no lie.         It was very muddy so be careful. Swim at your own risk. About a 2 hr roundtrip. Have a nice day folks and thank Jesus that me and Kevin didn't get hurt. Make sure you wear shoes with good grip and traction and bring mosquito repellent. Lots of Mosquitoes here, I kid you not. We ate at Kono's in Kailua afterwards. Avocado Veggie Wrap.

Rockman X (Megaman X) Anniversary (Legacy) Collection Vol 1 rant Nintendo Switch version.

Image
So it's been 25 years since the release of the original Rockman X (Megaman) game on the Snes. As the years went by, 7 direct sequels followed. Capcom eventually released the Megaman X collection which featured MegaMan X1-6 plus a Megaman racing game all-in-one disc back in 2005 for the PS2 and Gamecube (the version I own). X7 and X8 were a little new to the PS2 at the time so both games were not included. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mega_Man_X_Collection So what makes this new release awesome or not? This time to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Megaman X, Capcom released all 8 X games halved in two discs (PS4 and Xbox one); basically X 1-4 on disc 1 and X 5-8 on disc 2. Owners of the Switch version lucked out due to the fact X5-8 were downloadable only with a code after you bought a copy of the game whose cartridge contains only X1-4. However, to remedy this for those that want physical copies of the game, you can purchase the Rockman X Anniversary collection Volume ...

Thank God for a good day in Seattle Aug 20-21, 2018 Day 6 and 7 of 7 Hiking and finale!

Hello! Hikes galore! Let's get started! RattleSnake ridge hike             Spent another day with Gary. Pretty neat hike. We got lost once but finally made it to the top maybe in an hour or so. Nice bird's eye view of the lake. I look fat btw. Anyhow, just be careful because a young teen lost his life here earlier this year. Reports indicated it was a icy terrain at the time, though they say about two hikers die here on avg per year. There is a memorial for the young hiker as you begin the trail. https://www.kiro7.com/news/local/teen-killed-in-fall-at-rattlesnake-ledge/710320403
