Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 post season 1 thoughts.

It has been a journey. I started playing this game back in August and periodically waited for all 3 DLC's to come out. Here is a few final thoughts.

- Overall good game

- Shadow of Doom is the best DLC expansion of all 3 expansion packs.

- If you play a new file, it was a nice trip down memory lane in starting all over, unlocking everything from scratch (however Deadpool is now unlocked from the start, I dunno why and starts off at level 21 as opposed to some lvl 5 unlocked characters from the get-go), leveling characters from the bottom up (that was fun), and last but not least, providing that you did purchase the expansion pack , you get to play the DLC expansion packs prior to even finishing the game. However, you can only play the DLC expansion packs if you hit certain level requirements (for ex: Curse of the Vampire DLC is playable after you reach lvl 5.) Rise of the Phoenix and Shadow Doom are playable on higher levels. So the good thing is that it is possible to unlock all the DLC characters before you even finish the game or infinity rifts. Heck, you might get them before you unlock Thanos or even Loki. Just a novelty still.

Some fans are hopeful for an season 2 pass. It would be nice but I think the developers at this point are probably focusing on a sequel.

*Update 4/19: Yes, I did unlock Punisher, Moon Knight, Blade, and Iceman in this new play through prior to getting Magneto, Colossus, Cyclops and Thanos etc. Rise of the Phoenix is playable after you reach lvl 25 it seems. Could be a certain stage but now I am at the Necropolis section with Deadpool with the highest lvl of 46. I'll make maybe one more update when Shadow of Doom gets unlocked. My guess is at level 50.

Transformers War for Cybertron Earthrise WFC-E6 Wheeljack review!

Today is the next Earthrise figure Wheeljack. I used mainly shutter speed for my shoots so results weren't so great, so please bear with the photo noise when you see it. Anyhow, let's get started.

Boxing (shot with Hoist):

You got the whole decoder thing again. I think it reads Anttila. I'm not good at this once again so if someone could tell me how this decode thing works, that be great.

The figure:

Impressive figure thus far. His Slender frame is mainly proportionate to that of the G1 toon. He does have some differences such as smaller shoulder blades and smaller gun/shoulder cannon. Not sure why they couldn't have given him another gun though. He handles nicely and it appears that WJ does not have any battle damage. WJ also does not have his original 539 race number and now sports #638. I'm not too familiar with this so I won't comment much. He has lots of race car sponsor labels on the side of his leg. Also it reads Cybertron on the back of his right shoulder blade. I'm surprised I retained some of my Japanese reading skills. Then again, the internet is at your disposal.

Transformers War for Cybertron Earthrise WFC-E5 Hoist review!

Hola! Today we venture off the unfinished Siege line reviews as we have a special: Earthrise Hoist! Without delay, let's get started!

Boxing:

New artwork

The boxwork is pretty much inspired by the Siege line. The side art features past Siege characters with some upcoming Earthrise figures. Making their return is Siege Hound and Sideswipe. The upcoming characters are : Arcee, Wheeljack (review coming next), Trailbreaker, Quintesson, Optimus Prime (Earthrise version?), and possibly Earthrise Megatron. Megatron is most likely going to be recycled from the Siege line with some new features. Shockwave and TR Bumblebee (most likely, could be wrong through) make an appearance here as well. I'm not too familiar with the character in between Shockwave and the Quintesson. Looks like Refraktor in some ways but I wouldn't hold my breath.

You also get to decode a message using a red decoder. Mines is Junkion but I'm not sure what to look beyond this. I never got into the whole secret message thing from the Siege line. I tried this for a few minutes but I really didn't know what to look for once again.

Hoist the figure

As he came out of the box, so this pic was taken.

Use it like a gun

Hiding the handle

He has an arm cannon! I made two (3 in a sense) categories here because his arm cannon can either go on his left or right hand though I prefer his right hand for this review.  It may look awkward to see the handles in some pics if you were attempting to make some poses in his default hand packaging. That handle popping out can be weird looking from time to time. Thank God Hastak made his fists swivable. That way in the 2nd category, you can see that annoying handle is hidden from view.

And last but not least, the third hidden category: peg his weapons in any hole you see. Use your imagination.

Following Siege tradition, Hoist has battle damage in his front bumper or his stomach area.

As for the figure, he has a waist swivel and he handles nicely. No qualms here. His G1 dark green colors stand out well here.

Transformers War for Cybertron Siege WFC-S43 Mirage quick review

Welcome! It's been awhile. Without delay, lets get started with WFC-S43 Siege Mirage!

Letting him out ( Plus Santa Cruz pics)

Wow. Mirage is G1-looking heavenly! He has three weapons to be exact.  A rifle, a shoulder missile and the missile itself can be grappled as a weapon. The only problem with my Mirage is that his left hand can't seem to handle weapons too smoothly especially the missile. You sort of have to jam it in if you want to peg a weapon with his left hand. He has pegs on the side of his biceps and knees to plug the weapons, but I didn't fiddle with it this time. As for battle damage, I couldn't seem to find any. He appears to be the only Siege figure I owned so far, or at least of the autobots, not to display any battle damage. Kind of makes me wonder if Hastak just gave up on making damage details all of a sudden. Also I took him a on quick trip to Santa Cruz back on March 3rd. He had fun in Natural Bridges State Park.
