| Vax or unvaxxed, we stand united against Tyranny! |
Aloha folks, today we look at another Amazon exclusive: WFC-K42 Sideswipe and Maximal Skywarp. Without delay, let's get started!
Boxing
The box is fairly small. They are only deluxe figures after all.
Kingdom Sideswipe
| Something is touching me. |
With Siege Sideswipe (Nonnef upgrades) & Alt mode (comparisons)
(Team Sideswipe)
So where do I start? I was able to dig out Siege Sideswipe before the shoot so I could do comparisons. For the most part, it is the same mold, but as I said earlier, KSS has his G1 chest piece and that white paint on his limbs! It's so clean and beautiful! I understand SSS was meant to have all that battle damage and yellowing to preserve the consequences of war feature, but man I couldn't stop staring at the white paint that is KSS. As for transformation, it's the same. If you can do SSS, then you can do KSS. If not, then something is wrong with you. KSS in alt mode was slightly retooled to look similar to ER Sunstreaker. Unfortunately, Hasbro still found it unfit to include spoilers for this mode. Yeesh. I like both, but if I had to choose, it be KSS. However, this feels a little too much like my Ultra Magnus comparisons from an earlier entry that these are just minor changes that shouldn't stress the buyer into whether he should double dip or not. Still, that white paint! Maybe not so minor after all.
With Sunstreaker
Any Questions? I'm pretty sure they can swap each other's weapons. I was a little pressed for time during this photoshoot, so this was all I could conjure up, but here are the Lamborghini brothers, everyone. They look good together.
Maximal Skywarp (Alt mode included)
At first, I wasn't going to review MS, but I figured why not? I'm not into Beast Wars, so I have no real knowledge on who the character is though I thought he may had been a con since the Skywarp I knew was a Decepticon. But he is a good guy that existed in the Beast Wars II era which seems to be only native to Japan. As for the figure, he is light and skinny; especially those chicken/hawk legs. Anyhow, he comes with two photon blasters (according to his wiki) and can waist swivel for those once again wondering. He is a fairly good figure to fudge around with. I think it's only because I'm already used to the Sideswipe mold, so it was nice to try something else for once. I think I did transform this part a little wrong because his outer wings are supposed to hang low, but I left it up for the entire shoot.
I was then happy to check out his Eagle mode, which he has a 2nd head that forms that mode (seen on his chest). Something about those things that irk me like how 86 Hot Rod had his real chest piece behind the visual chest piece. You know the drill. Anyhow, his upper torso was easy to transform but his legs I required the manual. Lots of twists and turns let's say. I finally got it to work and it's a mix bag for me. I just wasn't feeling the legs though his upper torso was a thing of beauty. His Eagle head can be twisted for funs and other purposes.
In any case, MS and Sideswipe can exchange weapons. I didn't shoot it however.

Conclusion
All in all, you are pretty much getting this if you don't mind double dipping on Sideswipe, a fan of Sideswipe, didn't get Siege Swipe, and if you are a fan of Beast Wars. Man, that white on Sideswipe. However, if you are on a budget, it's better you pass on this especially if you have Siege Swipe. I don't feel it's worth the $50 to get a slightly improved Swipe, but MS is actually a delight to have so it's not a total loss at all for those that are getting Swipe for the first time along with MS. Anyhow, I hope you folks take care and Jesus loves you.
