Welcome to the very first March 2018 Transformer review! Today is none other than Beachcomber.
Well, let's get started!
Boxing
Robot mode
Wow. I'm amazed. Looks great, feels great, and plays great. Everything is great so far. Looks like a good representation of G1 Beachcomber so far. Joints are tight and BC can pose very decently.
Alt mode:
Nice little dune buggy. Plays and handles great. Easy transformation but I guess this is where my negative feedback comes in. His front wheels is marred and held by that weird ugly blue looking peg. It just looks off when you view him from the sides. Too bad all four wheels couldn't look alike. Anyhow, moving on.
Vs Henkei Minibot Beachcomber
For the longest time, mini Henkei Beachcomber stood as my classics version of BC. Not anymore for I do believe POTP BC can take that mantle now, wouldn't you agree?
Random guest stars ( featuring United Stepper, Legends Rewind, and Legends Slugslinger's headmaster)
Legends Rewind
So I randomly pulled figures out of my display and Voila! Beachcomber, who also does not come with weapons like Windcharger, can hold LG Rewind's weapons with ease. BC looks good while posing with the gun as well.
United Stepper
Next random guy was Stepper. Beachcomber could only grasp Stepper's targetmaster gun. BC loosely held on to Stepper's white gun. Yeah, BC had fun trying to do so posing for these weapons. Experiment with other bot's weapons for replayability.
With Slugslinger's Headmaster
Well, his dunebuggy mode was supposed to be able to carry headmasters namely Micronus. Since I don't have Micronus, Slugslinger's headmaster will do. Happy experimenting!
Conclusion: Must have if you need a Chug version of BeachComber. A good follow-up to Windcharger. I like Beachcomber a lot more. Worth the price. Wish he did come with weapons but I guess you get what you pay for. Only negative thing about Beachy is the blug pegs on his front wheels. Anyhow, laters!
