All Mortal Kombat games Intros Mk1 to Mk11 | 2K QuadHD Quality #mortalko...

I remember growing up playing MK alongside SF. The last MK game I ever touched, sadly, was MK vs DC. Feelings on that one was mixed. I never tried the reboot and now another reboot is in the horizon. Anyhow, memories.

Super Mario Bros movie last showing and small update 5/31/2023.

I've been a little on the busier side so the TF reviews are on hiatus for now. I do have Legacy Crashbar for sometime but I'm busy with work and other things.

I decided to take my nephew for his first showing in the theaters. I choose Super Mario Bros for him. This was my third time seeing the film (though no biggie since I have the $21.99 pass/month unlimited screening from Regal). What can I say? The film is almost out for two months and seeing my nephew enjoy this film was priceless. He really enjoyed it from beginning to end.

As we left the auditorium, I noticed the Super Mario digital marquee for all the auditoriums disappeared. We saw it on screen 6 and it was now replaced by Guardians of the Galaxy 3. I thought that was neat that we got to see the final screening of SMB in our area.

Anyhow, hopefully I can get the Crashbar review up and running soon. Later folks.

Return of the Jedi (1997) "Victory Celebration" Ending [HD]

Credit to the owner of the video.

I'm only using this video as the version I prefer. I like Sebastian Shaw's ending as a happy old man rather then young Anakin. I am aware of all the arguments on why fans are torn between old and young, but like I said, I still prefer old instead. If you like young, then that's ok.

Return of the Jedi 40th Anniversary screening 4/28/23

40 years already?!? I still remember watching this for the first time back in 1997, the special editions. I fell in love with them though they weren't the original non-altered ones some fans preferred over everything that came out after their respective release years.

As for this version that just got re-released, how did it fare?

+ This is still the definitive version of how the Star Wars saga ended.
+ It's back on the big screen and the video quality was one of the best re-releases I've seen in years.
+ It still has the same fun and charm as it did back in those days (for me, it was 97).
+ Seeing this again made me appreciate the hero Luke was. He was selfless, defended his friends and saved his father when nobody else wanted to. What Disney did to him in the sequels was a travesty.

- If you ain't a fan of the re-releases after the 83 version, you ain't gonna like these versions (i.e. a beak added to the Sarlacc pitt, Hayden Christensen's force ghost, and Darth Vader's "no" at the end of the film added in 2011 editions and beyond etc). The latter I'm not used to because I only owned the 2004 dvd editions and Hayden's ghost used to make me roll my eyes because I wasn't a big fan of the prequels. But after seeing what Disney did to the original trilogy crew and the legacy of SW's, the prequels are masterpieces in comparison.

- If you hated the Ewoks and the re-used concept of a 2nd Death star, nothing has changed here.

- Despite having superb video quality overall, there was some soft spots especially in the battle of Endor fight towards the end.

- Seriously, most of these negatives are really miniscule at best.

Overall, it was an amazing experience to witness one of the greatest endings in cinematic history. If you are a huge SW fan or of the original trilogy, its worth it to watch it on the the big screen again. For me once again, SW's ended here.

Transformers Toys Legacy Evolution Deluxe Shrapnel Review

Aloha, I am back with another TF review. And this time it is with Legacy Insecticon Shrapnel! How does he fare, lets get started!

Boxing

Like Scraphook, Shrapnel is of the evofusion gimmick but mainly through his weapons rather than limbs.

Standing tall

Visually, I was a little put off on how he looked initially. I didn't like how the pincers were of a dull grey paint. His chest cavity doesn't open like Kickback from the original Legacy line. No biggie on that. Either wise, he is painted nicely. As a matter of fact, I found Shrapnel to be delightful upon fidgeting with him.  He comes with dual blasters and a silver gun which allow you to attach the dual blasters for the fusion gimmick. Or you can simply his weapons on any 5mm peg you find.  Overall, it would had been nice to paint his pincers the same to compliment his gun.

W/Kickback

Both figures are light. It's great to finally pair KB with another member of the Insecticons. Took Hastak long enough. Robot mode, Shrapnel is done better. KB was and is still too loose as of this date. Shrapnel's joints are tighter and so is his head... a little too tight however. Mix and  match their weapons for some additional fun factor. The only problem is KB's drum mag can get in the way disallowing multiple uses for gun placements on Shrapnel's.

Transform

Shrapnel's transformation is definitely more complex than KB's. His two pistols form part of his appendages though it can be removed to be used as turret placements. The fun part about this mode is pretty much the usage of his pincers. It works really well on this mode. I really wish it was a metallic finish like his original toy and he is also lacking the yellow legs he once had which is also a dull grey finish on this one. Still, I prefer this mode over KB's.

Conclusion

Arguably the better of the two Insecticons playwise. The use of his pincers is what makes him enjoyable. Joints are a definite improvement over his loose buddy. The only complaint for the umpteenth time is the color of the pincers. The internet shares the same grievances as well.  I'm not the only one who feels this way. Anyhow, let's bring Bombshell and complete the trio.

Transformers Toys Legacy Evolution Deluxe Scraphook Toy Review

Hello and welcome folks. I finally got another TF review up and running after my trip to the mainland. Today, we look at a newly created Junkion for the Legacy and G1 continuity line. Let's just get started!

At this point, we are probably used to the plastic-less boxes. I kinda miss it actually. The boxes do feel much lighter without it. That's just how I feel. The digital profile is now on the top of the box.

For those who are interested, here is the link: Scraphook bio card.

Standing tall

SH in the flesh. I think he looks great. He is painted in colors that do resemble a Junkion. I thought this was a cool feature, but he only has one painted eye. Most likely lost an eye during his skirmishes with the enemy. Aren't they Junkions though? Couldn't they just replace it? To be continued I guess. He is part of the now Legacy evo combiner gimmick where his limbs can be removed and placed on other figures. I didn't really try this though I probably will when I get Shrapnel. For now, look at the back of his box to get an idea. Because of this gimmick, he does get wobbly, but mainly in the arms area. His elbows are very loose as a result and pops off with little force. You can peg his wings on his back (not pictured here) to give him the impression that swords on kept in the back of him.

Also, I actually do prefer his original look and the chain hook weapon on his forearm. Would had been cool no doubt had Hastak gave us that. The one given here lacks re-playability because the hook can be only twisted at best and removed. A chain would had really made him more fun to play with.

Here is his wiki page and original design: Scraphook Wiki

Alt mode (w/ Wreck-Gar and Junkheap).

I think we all saw this that a tow truck is smaller than a motorcycle. Oh wait, what the hell is Groove doing as a leg of Defensor or why is Blast off the arm of Bruticus? I never really bought into all that. It just would had been nice to see SH larger and that darn hook do more than twist and turn. This mode was fairly easy to transform into though his back portion took me sometime.

Some more pics

I'll just leave it here. I think he looks great with the team. But honestly, why don't WG and JH have guns? Anyhow, the guns are placed on his shins in alt mode. In robot mode, you can actually leave it on his shins to cover the gaps if that is your forte, though this deprives him the use of his guns.

Conclusion:

It's finally nice to have a Junkion member that isn't a motorcycle. He looks different too but thanks to the paint scheme, he blends in nicely. I'm not into the whole weaponizer gimmick but its good to have some novelty. His size is fairly disappointing but my heart will go on. Just also wish you can do more with that hook of his. It looks like Hastak really dropped the ball on that one. Anyhow, add this guy to your Junkion collection.
