Transformers Studio Series 86 22 Brawn review

                                                          Copy13

Aloha folks. I am back with another TF review. And today it is none other than Studio series 86 Brawn. With 86 Iron-hide released, it was a matter of time they released another one of the doomed autobot shuttle crew members. How does he fare, let's get started!

Boxing/Contents.

Brawn rushing into battle like he did in the film, however with disatrous results. Included is the backdrop which includes the hole in the shuttle artwork which caused Brawn to rush into battle.

Standing tall

For the longest time, Igear Hench was my Brawn stand in. Not to mention, Hench was bigger than the other Hasbro releases. We finally got a Brawn from Hasbro that is more up to scale to his cartoon counterpart. Brawn for the most part is a very simple figure. He doesn't have a waist swivel which can be a negative aspect to some people. However, he looks great overall. The paint is spot on. He is small though and today we are nearly paying 25-30 bucks for something that was pretty much 10 dollars a decade ago. He does have a head swivel but thanks to the back head rest, it might be tough for your fingers to squeeze in to twist it. No biggie, you can pull his chest place out which in turn also brings forth his head out and then you can twist it with ease. He plays very simple as I have stated and he can do some fairly decent poses. His tire on his back can pop off which allows you to store his gun. Or you can just plug his gun into that tire hole.

Alt mode

Surprisingly, this mode is very easy to transform into. You plug his gun into that tire of his and you can move the wheel actually to spin the gun around. Last, its not a problem for me but as you can see, there is the mushroom like peg wheels which some folks detest. I guess we have 3rd party to the rescue for this.

Conclusion:

Very easy to play with and Brawn is here to complete your 86 line. Colors are great on him. I guess he just have a minor swivel issue in his robot mode once again, but thanks to that head rest of his its easily rectified by pulling his chest down. I don't have much to say here because he is simple as I stated. He isn't terribly wobbly like ER Tracks, nor is he light like some of the recent releases. 86 Ratchet is up next. Until then, see you soon.

Robocop Filming locations (1987)

Until I get the next review up and running, I figure something like this should be on here. I posted it on my travel blog but this should keep you occupied until then.

I didn't get all the filming locations due to time constraints but here is what I got. Scroll to the section that has the locations. And enjoy everything else.

As always folks, keep praying to God for guidance wisdom, and safety.

Transformers Legacy Evolution Bombshell review

BS13

Greetings and for the third day in a row, but will take a break after this, is Legacy Evolution Bombshell. Here he is finally to complete the Insecticon trio. How does he fare? Let's find out and let's get started!

Boxing

Finally got to merge the two boxes into one pic.

Bombshell!

   BS10 BS11 BS12 BS14 BS15

Bombshell in the flesh. He too has a evo gimmick based on triple blasters which can be formed into one. From what I heard he is a retool of Shrapnel. Especially on the legs. It's very similar. No problem on my end. If there is a problem, its his arch-head. His head cannon is sculpted on it, but if you look at the arch from certain angles, it just looks weird with this gaping hole in between the arch and the top of his head. You can even push his arch back if  that is what you prefer. You can also toggle his head cannon in certain degrees to your liking.  You can put weapons on the back of his shin, but by doing so you will have difficulty bending his knees. Toggle the weapons any way you can. You can actually stick a gun below his forearms making look as he is firing a forearm cannon. BS plays fine overall. Nice joints and swivels. BS doesn't feel light at all and I kinda wish he was a little taller with his buddies but I think they were short in the show, so I guess there is your accuracy.

Rhinoceros Beetle

BS16 BS17 BS18 BS19 BS20

Easy to transform into. His double mini guns form part of his feet so BS is limited to his silver gun on this mode. Looks impressive for a Rhinoceros beetle. I like how he looks bulky in this mode in comparison to his Insecticon brethren.

But first! Fan mode!

BS21 BS22 BS23 BS24 BS25 BS26

As some of you know, there is a Insecticon train mode fans are trying to mimic. I found one off of Facebook. I take no credit for this. I am just re-creating the mode for entertainment and blog written purposes. I forgot to take the credit down to whom influenced me to do this. So big shout out to those who came up with this mode.

The Insecticons!

BS27 BS28 BS29 BS30 BS31 BS32 BS33

Here is your comparisons. You can mix and match their weapons as always. My favorite is BS using KB's blades as skates in alt mode. Use your imagination once again. Just remember to have fun. It's nice to have the trio together now. Who is your favorite? I think they all have their ups and downs.

Conclusion:

Besides the weird arch-head at times, BS is a nicely sculpted figure to finish off the Insecticon ranks. The Insecticons are easy to fiddle around with and we finally got some deluxe, G1 updated versions of them. Enjoy!
