Thank God for a good day in Seattle Aug 16, 2018 Day 2 of 7 Return to Museum of Flight!

Hola! Day 2 in Seattle 2018 commence!

Today I meet my buddy Heath and his son Liam from Everett. Was a long drive and it took us a while to get here. Not only that but Heath was pressed for time so our return to The Museum of Flight was a quick one. We had a good time still. Liam was really intrigued by the place that he didn't have enough time to read everything. Smart kid, he's a cool cat. I finally went to the hangar section and got to see all the big commercial airplanes especially the 787. You get to walk inside most of the large planes which was a plus. It was also a nice addition to see the Air Force One jet.

Leaving Tukwila

Dinner and rest up for the night.

Haven't been here in 10 years of all my return trips to Seattle. It was nice to see additions to the MOF. Caught up with Heath's wife Cora and had dinner back at Lynnwood area. See you next day, Ciao!

As I write this, Hawaii if on the brink of being hit by hurricane Lane. God send the storm away! See you folks later.

Thank God for a good day in Seattle Aug 14-15. 2018 Day 1 of 7

Hello folks. I was able to take another quick vacation. Thank God it's slow at work. Calm before the storm. I make my return to Seattle this time just to visit friends. Without haste, lets get started.

August 14, 2018

Food in HNL before my departure.
My AirBnb in NewCastle area

I left HNL in the afternoon. I landed in Seattle-Tacoma airport later on in the night around 10PM. Got my rental car and went to my Airbnb place in Southern Bellevue which was a 20 min drive roughly. Called it a night.

August 15, 2018

Woke up to take a couple pics around the back area. Very nice flowers.

Time to kill- Marketplace @ Factoria

I was waiting for my friend Gary to come and show me around but he couldn't arrive till near noon so I went to the Marketplace @ Factoria (which is close to my area) mainly for Target, but ended up going all over the mall and picking up a Jamba smoothie for breakfast. Yup, Poke is a trend here in Seattle as well. And I thought Toronto had an obsession with Poke.

Lunch with Gary

Ate lunch at Porkchop and Co, which was recommended back at home by a fellow co-worker. Food was good. The restaurant is located in Ballard for anyone who wants to visit the place.

Alki Beach

Look hard to see the Space Needle in background

According to Gary, this was supposed to be the New York of the west. That also explains why there is a statue of Liberty mini-replica by the beach. The beach is very icky as there are lots of algae and the water didn't look tempting for me to swim in it. Also forgot to mention that there was a huge smoke fog covering the Seattle sky due to forest fires sporadically burning all over Washington state and Oregon. Remember kids don't do forest fires.

Tamron Lense special

I was playing around with my Tamron zoom lenses again. The results were mediocre at best.

Lucky Strike - Bellevue

Me and Gary bowled for 3 games. Was fun though I hurt my right middle finger and as I write this blog, it's still hurting.

Dinner at Bai Tong

Gary brought me here to dinner. It was magnificent! Awesome Thai food that I never had for a long time! After we were done, I had to order the crispy garlic chicken under the advice of a friend(s) from Kent ( don't worry, they will be revealed soon). The chicken was pretty much my breakfast for the next upcoming days.

Day over

That was it for now. Gary brought me home and then he had to work for the next few days so it was my friend from Everett that stepped up to the plate next. Day 2 coming up soon. TY folks and Mahalos.
