The Lord fights for me.

Every time I am reminded to fight back or defend my honor.

The Lord will fight for you, And you shall hold your peace.

Exodus 14:14

A lion will not have to tell you it's a lion

Nor does the Lion concern himself with the opinions of a sheep.

Someone else's Opinion of you does not have to become your reality.

Transformers Studio Series 86 01 Transformers the Movie Jazz review! Transformers Toys Studio Series 86-01 Deluxe Class The The Movie 1986 Autobot Jazz

The mask was not normal yesterday, it won't be tomorrow.

We're about to send out the shuttle. Any Decepticon shenanigans in your area?

~Jazz, Transformers movie

Aloha folks, we come to you today with the guy that supposedly started the 86 movie line: Jazz! Let's get started!

The figure is a deluxe size and apparently is smaller than the previous 86 figures I reviewed. The description in the back elucidates Jazz's futile escape from the ill-fated devouring of Moonbase 1 by Unicron, an event that occurs in the movie.

Jazz

Jazz comes with his workstation backdrop. It's actually pretty engaging as you can do some shots where you pretend he is pushing buttons. Probably one of the best backdrops we've received so far. He comes with his back (the roof) actually mis-transformed. And I actually thought this was how his back was like until later on. Not too sure why it came like that, but possibly the plastic bubble had issues housing its proper way of transformation. He is pretty light for a figure but sports some decent posing. I love the gun they gave him, a proper one that matches his G1 artwork and toys.

Alt mode

Instructions were used on this part eventually. Jazz is actually a fairly easy Transformer to fudge with in this mode. However, the part that irked me for a little till I pulled out the manual was his...metal waist. Yes. In order to plug the hands in the compartment, you have to rotate his metal waist. I mean this is a first and I thought this was strange even with the experience I have with figures. I still find that awkward, but yes, your metal waist once again rotates to the back for this transformation. He has a number 14 display instead of #4 due to licensing issues. However, this mode looks awesome as it looks close to his G1 appearance.

With United Jazz

I transformed his back right this time.

Yes, United Jazz can hold 86's weapon but I forgot to shoot it. 86 Jazz, however, loosely holds United Jazz's weapon. I couldn't find RTS Jazz at this time but United boy was around. I definitely like 86 Jazz's car mode a lot better. In comparison, United Jazz looks like some futuristic muscular version of Jazz. He still looks and plays great imo. The dark blues definitely look a lot better on United Jazz though. Dunno why the blues look light on 86. But I hear reprolabels can fix this problem. Reprolabels also fix his blue/red stripes he is lacking on his ankles. Something United Jazz got right.

Cliffjumper commence countdown

Where that thing come from?

"Who cares, let's just blast it out of the sky!"

Yeah, the last line didn't happen but just an alt scene I came up with.

Autobots! Transform and Roll out!

Conclusion

Here is 86 Jazz! I think he is done well for scale. He does, however, feel too light and he doesn't have that wow factor in comparison to Grimmy, Scourge, and Hot Rod. The blue is too light as usual but passable. Love the back drop once again. Car mode is the best looking classics alt mode version of him to date. Wingless Jazz everyone. United Jazz is still a good figure if you don't want another Jazz. But can't pass up a G1-anime accurate looking Jazz for your collection. Later folks.

Transformers Generations War for Cybertron: Kingdom Voyager WFC-K19 Inferno Review!

You are responsible for your own health. So no, we are not in this together.

You know the fire drill folks, let's get this started!

What's in the box?

Wow, this is the first for me! It came in an Ebay box.

The contents

I got Optimus Prime for the card! For an odd reason, I didn't notice this at first but the clear packaging (the transparent display) has water spots if you zoom into it. Anyhow, Inferno was coming out so no big deal but man it was so great to have Optimus for the trading card once again!

Inferno

Inferno to the rescue! Inevitably, he was going to become the retool and remold use of Grapple. Inferno, is without a doubt, a thing of beauty and loads of fun to play with in comparison to Grapple. You can fold either of his hands inward so that way you can you use the nozzle. Which side you want it is up to you. I love his silver painted face, it looks fantastic on him. Definitely love the head wings and head cannon which the latter is detachable. While shooting this segment, I had issues extending his ladder. It was seriously jammed in at the time. I thought I had another defective TF again. Inferno also comes with fire hoses that can be pegged wherever there is a 5mm port. It's a novelty and it looks great wherever you place them.... for the most part. He also receives the same blaster as Grapple.

Alt mode

Dog gone it, the darn ladder just finally decided to extend. It was tough still, but after some pulling, it slided out finally. You can pretty much place the weapons anywhere you want but I think the official configuration usually have the fire hoses on the side of the truck. His head cannon is pegged on towards the end of the ladder. On the left side though only (right side if you going by Inferno's point of view). If you are familiar with Grapple, then this transformation is identical. What makes this alt mode even better besides being a cool looking fire truck is that Hastak fixed the peg issue where the head placement (on the back wheel area) no longer gets jammed if the pegs are placed in the sockets deeply. This was a huge issue on Grapple. Yippie!

With Grapple

Transformers Kingdom Inferno

My favorite shot: Grapple and Inferno running to save lives

So I didn't peg the head area all the way in for Grapple. Anyhow, here are your comparisons. They can pretty much use each other's weapons, well, except for the head cannon which is exclusive to Inferno. I forgot to mention this on the alt mode section, but as you can see, you can level the ladders and cannons into whatever degree you want it to be. They move to the sides as well. Have fun, really.

With Red Alert

His buddy Red Alert and scale. I did the iconic IDW cover pose again. Too lazy to do the photoshop edit comparison so here is the reference from a site.

Conclusion

Inferno is simply amazing. The mold really works better for him. The fireman gimmick always is a nice touch. The alt mode fix is greatly appreciated. The paint job is really nice. He looks great overall. Get him now I say.
