Transformers War for Cybertron Siege S14 Shockwave review

At long last another WFC review is here and overdue. Without any further delays, let's get started!

Boxed

Neat box. This is a leader size figure though it is roughly the size of an voyager class figure now. The Cybertron symbols that come inside the box can be decoded on Hasbro's website I heard but I didn't bother looking at it at the time of the review.

The Figure with Legends Shockwave LG-24

Continuing on with Siege tradition, Shockwave's battle damage mainly reside within the removable armor/weaponry. So once it gets removed, you get a hardly damaged but nicely painted figure; his feet are the main damaged areas without his armor. The removable parts can be pegged on certain parts of his body. Use your imagination. I prefer him without his armor because that is the Shockwave I grew up with. Very versatile figure of the Siege line. First Decepticon I'm reviewing of that line and he is definitely playing well and looking awesome at the moment.

Alt mode

Wow, this guy never disappoints. At first I didn't care that he became a starship but after getting to this mode, it simply looks nice, handles well, and plays as well. I love how he has that Scourge like gimmick where he has his head on the tower portion of this mode. His eye remains intact literally. Almost like a evolved version of the CW/Legends version.

Bonus 1: Fan gun mode(s)

Version 1

Version 2 (G1 version)

Well, Shockwave does have his gun modes if you look hard enough. I found version 1 by simply peeling off all his armor parts while in starship mode.

Thanks to Chefatron and Dennis Moulton AKA GotBot of youtube fame, I was able to do Version 2. This version is much closer to his G1 toy and cartoon transformation due to his legs being the handle rather than the back end of the gun. By flipping his torso, you also reverse his wire as well and you get to place his extra armor parts to give him an updated gun look. Either way these fan modes are awesome!

Bonus 2: Surfboard of doom

This is probably by far the most popular fan mode for those that have this figure. It took me a while to figure it out but nonetheless it is a cool mode and worth the time assembling. Looking at its back, it reminds of me of the gliders the Goblins use in the Spider-man comics.

Bonus 3: Shockwave in Vacation

Shiba Park Hotel (Tokyo, Japan)

Mount Fuji

Osaka Japan (Namba Hotel)

Osaka castle

Hong Kong- Avenue of Stars

Monster Building (Transformer live action filming site)

Macau- Ruins of St Paul

Well this was shot back then in late March to early April in my trips to Japan, Hong Kong and Macau. Shocky had a blast you could tell.

Conclusion

Shockwave is an awesome figure. By far the best I dealt with so far in the Siege line. Loads of replayability. Pick him up now if you haven't. You won't regret it.
