| Sleeping Giant from Ono Family restaurant |
We woke up around 9ish and decided to go to Ono Family restaurant in Kapaa for breakfast. Very ono indeed. We decided to head towards Hanalei side to sight see some more. We stopped by the Kilauea lighthouse first. Unfortunately, it was closed. It won't re-open until somewhere end of April. So we could only take pics from a far.
That was quick and then we all decided to not go to Hanalei and ventured back to Waimea Canyon side to hike at Puu O Kila and the Alakai swamp trail. However, we were met with serious traffic for nearly an hour in Kapaa. At one point, I decided to take pics of the chickens running all over the road.
We didn't arrive until nearly 2:00PM that afternoon. The sun was coming up though not in an alarming rate. The trail was still muddy from the rain from the previous night. Many hikers turned back to the parking lot early on. Me, my bro and his wife decided to power on through. We saw most of the look out so we were satisfied. We then got lost at the Alakai swamp trail for an hour till we had to go back to the point from which we hiked before sun fall. We didn't return back to Kapaa until 8:30PM that night.

Upon returning to town, it was tough to find a place to eat since most places in Kauai close at 9PM. Hamura Saimin in Lihue was the only place to eat since it closes at mid-night during the weekend. Pics for your viewing pleasure.

By the time we were done, it was around 11PM. Back to the hotel for one final night. Toodles.
