Thank God for a good day in Las Vegas Part 1 of 2 8/8/13

About two weeks ago started my short vacation in Las Vegas. I arrived from Honolulu with one stop over in Los Angeles via United Airlines.  Despite arriving early in the morning, I couldn't check into my hotel which was the Excalibur on the strip, so I decided to head to one of the famous Hash houses being:
Mary's Hash house which is located in 2605 South Decatur Suite 103, Las Vegas, 89102.

Welcome to Las Vegas sign

Of course, I thought this was amusing!
Seriously, you don't see restaurants like this in Hawaii.
So we arrived shortly

Well, I forgot what my food was called but this was it:

The price was about $7.50-$8. The food was good. The gravy was mixed with sausages on a biscuit. There was only one waitress and she didn't pay too much attention to us. The place was empty, clean,  and slow for the most part, and the food did take a little long to come out like how some people complained on urbanspoon or yelp. The next two pics is what my mom and sister had. Good hash, eggs, and fruits. Can't go wrong. Overall, Mary's Hash house is worth a try.

So next up: Downtown Las Vegas. I went there to buy Beef Jerky in California Hotel and Vegas Club. I discovered that Fitzgeralds now became this:

Me, my sister an mom played a few slot games, and afterwards, we decided to finally head to Excalibur Hotel to check-in and a have a much needed rest. Included are window pics of Luxor and Mandalay Bay Hotels.

So around 7PM at night: we went to watch KA: Cirque Du Soleil at the MGM hotel. Could only take pics of the stage prior to showtime. Was a good show that's all I can say. When you first walk past the entrance: look up and back, you will see live string performers (middle pic). A ticket collector asked where we were from: we said Hawaii. He responded: "Shoots, enjoy the show." Love that guy.

My mother and a pic of neon-lighted Las Vegas.

Midnight Snack at Yagyu (Yakiniku at Chinatown located in Spring Mountain Road):

Yes Vegas is clear as day at Midnight. (J/k, Took this pic the next day).

Final thoughts for that day: That was my simple day in Vegas. No me taking pictures with drunk girls or guys for that matter. Just doing eats and watching shows, and cruising the strip and downtown. Las Vegas was 101 degrees throughout the day including the night. Hot! Keep in mind that this is my fourth time in Las Vegas so I was pretty much done looking at the free shows or whatever night life most people go to Las Vegas for. I didn't care so much for gambling this time around. Let's say this was a friendly, family trip. Simple day#2 and and final day coming shortly.
