Batman: Mask of the Phantasm 25th anniversary theatrical re-release quickie!

Movie was viewed on November 12, 2018 in Regal Cinemas Dole Cannery. There were 14 slides of facts and trivia before the movie started. Here are a two slides I putted up plus a shot I took of the movie.

I decided to just view this on the big screen since I never did. A good movie still to this very date. But I'll get to the theater experience right now:

-Suffers the same picture and sound quality like Transformers the movie re-release. Picture is grainy and was probably the dvd release rather then the blu-ray remaster. The sound was very low quality as well. The awe-inspiring church choir parts (the intro, Birth of Batman, Joker's fate, and ending theme) were very underwhelming.

- Not the movie's fault but the theater had only 15 people and it was shown in a very big screen. My Transformers movie showing was in a smaller screen but 85% filled. There are two showings of MOTP in my area: I have a feeling the 7pm showing will be more packed. Probably would had been a better experience.

- Because the movie was shown in 1.85:1 aspect ratio, the matte lines (black bars) on the side were annoying at times. To simply put it, it felt like I was watching full-screen or the theater I was in didn't utilize the entire screen.

There you have it folks. Just a few complaints here and there in an otherwise outstanding film. Later folks and Jesus bless.

Wiliwilinui 2018!

Thank you Gary for this pic
At long last, the sister hikes are finally completed! I tamed Kuliouou and Hawaii Loa last year. Finally the circle is now complete as Wiliwilinui has been thrown into the fray. Let's get started!

*Hike was done on the 6th of November*

Rained the previous day so the hike was pretty muddy and slippery. I hiked with Gary who was visiting from Washington state. I slipped quite a bit on this trail. Lots of stairs 3/4's toward the end. I personally feel there was more stairs on this hike in comparison to the other sister hikes. The trail being muddy, wet, and slippery didn't help either. Some area will have ropes for you to climb up or down.

The summit:

The summit gets smaller and smaller if you go from Kuliouou > Hawaii Loa > Wiliwilinui in that order; bigger vice versa. Sky was pretty overcast so you had to wait a bit for the clouds to clear just to get some nice views. By the time you hit the communications tower the summit is just nearby. Anyhow, thank God I survived that hike. Had pizza at Pieology afterwards. It's actually a pretty long hike overall. Anyhow, take care folks and go with Jesus.
